I help small businesses grow online through strategic web design and SEO. When I’m not behind the screen, you’ll usually find me in East Texas with my family, coffee in hand, and new ideas always brewing.
All of my blog posts so far have been pretty niche and businessy. Let’s break some of that up, because that’s not what I want my website to always be.
Of course, I want to present my expertise and value online, but let’s be so forreal. I’m a person too.
A person who loves to yap on a deeper level.
Compartmentalizing all of the roles of who I am? I’m good at that. Whether that’s Ivory the individual, Ivory the mom, Ivory the wife, the Christian, the corporate marketer, the entrepreneur, the designer, etc., forever and ever amen. So many hats.
But lately, I’ve been reaching the age (and the point in life) where I’m just tired of compartmentalizing.
Tired of feeling like I have to be here, there, and everywhere. I just want things to blend. To flow. To naturally work together so I can simply be immersed and free to be all that I am, and all that I love, without feeling like I’m compromising one value for another.
It’s a good time to test those waters too, considering I’m weeks away from having my fourth baby!
I hope to use this time off to learn how to navigate that flow while prioritizing rest and time for myself. I think I’m there and ready. The last few years I’ve grown tremendously in setting boundaries with my time and energy.
This next chapter feels like one where I can master doing what I love while serving those I love.
If you’re new here, stumbled upon my website, or don’t know me from Adam, well, congrats. I just word-vomited all over you.
By now, you probably get it: I’m creative, expressive, and don’t shut the heck up. Surprisingly though, I actually do. I’m pretty introverted except in spaces I feel passionate about.

I use those same practices in just about everything. Whether that’s researching medical remedies and practices for my kids, education systems that fit them best, creating a new dinner recipe, or helpful ways to promote small businesses here in East Texas.
It shows up in celebrating others’ wins, pushing myself to keep growing, digging into Scripture with curiosity, and connecting with the Lord for who He is. It’s in learning how to love my husband better, and never being afraid to learn something new.
And the truth is, I can’t sit still.
I didn’t find out about my ADHD diagnosis until I was 30. At first, it made no sense. But when it did, it did.
Now I understand why I’m able to dive so deep into projects (like hopefully yours) while still finding inspiration through wandering off. I do my best work while dreaming first, then executing in a crunch.
That may not be optimal by the textbook definition, but it works beautifully for me and my clients.
I suppose that’s enough for now. I just needed to brain dump and break up all the design and strategy jargon with something a little more personal.
I’m a one-woman team that wants to share her knowledge and resources. Working with me often turns into a long-term relationship more than a transactional service, so it only feels right for you to know who’s behind the screen.
Catch ya next time,
Ivory
